How do I use a deal I purchased on avid.deals?
Your purchased deals live in your AvidDeals Wallet — a feature built right into the avid.deals website. There's nothing to install. Just visit avid.deals in any web browser, sign in, and tap the glowing wallet icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen to open it. From the Wallet you can show a voucher to a merchant for redemption, or download and print your vouchers.
For redeeming in person, a phone is the most convenient — you can show the voucher right at the counter. But if you'd rather use a computer or tablet, that works too: you can open the Wallet there and print your voucher to bring with you (see "Can I print my vouchers..." below).
Do I need an account to see my vouchers?
Yes. Your vouchers are tied to the account you purchased with, so you'll need to be signed in to avid.deals to open the Wallet. If you tap the wallet icon while signed out, it'll send you to the login page first — once you're back in, the icon opens your Wallet.
What device do I need? Can I use a tablet or computer instead of a phone?
The Wallet is part of the avid.deals website, so it works in any modern web browser — on a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. You don't need to download an app.
For showing a voucher to a cashier in person, a phone (or other mobile device you can carry to the counter) is the easiest. If you're more comfortable on a computer, you can still open the Wallet there and print your voucher on paper to hand to the merchant — the printed voucher works just as well (see below).
How do I redeem a voucher in store?
Open your Wallet on your phone while signed in to avid.deals, find your deal, and tap "Show Voucher." This displays the voucher's QR code and code. The cashier either scans the QR code or enters the code into the AvidVendors app, which validates the voucher and applies your discount. Your only need to present the voucher — whether on your screen or on paper — and the cashier takes it from there.
Prefer paper? A printed voucher works too — it carries the same QR code and redemption code, along with instructions for the cashier. Just hand it over and they'll scan or enter it the same way.
Can I redeem the same voucher more than once?
No — each voucher is single-use. Once it's redeemed, its card moves to the used state and can't be redeemed again. If you bought multiple of the same deal, each one is its own voucher and can be redeemed separately (see below).
I bought several of the same deal — where are they?
Each one you purchased appears as its own separate card in your Wallet, each with its own voucher code. You can redeem them independently, on different visits if you like — redeeming one doesn't affect the others.
What do the different colored cards in my Wallet mean?
Each card's color tells you its status at a glance:
- White / purple — valid and ready to redeem.
- Light gray / purple — expired, but still redeemable for face value (see below).
- Dark gray / white — already redeemed or no longer redeemable.
By default the Wallet hides used vouchers. Tap "Show Used" to see them, and "Hide Used" to tuck them away again.
What happens if my voucher has expired?
An expired voucher is still worth something. In Pennsylvania, vouchers remain redeemable for their face value (the amount you paid) for up to 5 years after the expiration date. Other states have their own rules, so the exact window may differ where you are. See the coupon clause for more information.
When a cashier redeems an expired voucher, the AvidVendors app prompts them to choose between applying its face value or its full value, depending on what the merchant honors.
Can I print my vouchers, or download them as a PDF?
Yes. In your Wallet, tap "Add to PDF" on each unused voucher you'd like to include. A Download button appears showing how many vouchers are selected — tap it to save the PDF, then open and print it. Where the file lands depends on your device, operating system, and browser settings.
This is a great option if you'd rather not navigate a phone at the counter. The printed voucher includes its QR code, its redemption code, and instructions for the cashier — everything the merchant needs to redeem it. Just bring the printout with you and hand it over. Printing on a home computer is perfectly fine; you can open the Wallet on a laptop or desktop just as you would on a phone.
Tip: it's a good idea to download (or print) your voucher before you head to the store. That way you can always pull it up to show the cashier even if the shop has weak cell signal or Wi-Fi. Keep in mind the cashier still needs an internet connection on their end to complete the redemption — but having your voucher saved ahead of time means you'll never be left unable to display it.
What if the cashier has trouble scanning or entering my voucher?
Every voucher — whether on your screen or printed — carries both a QR code and a written redemption code, plus a note telling the cashier to redeem it with the AvidVendors app at vendor.avid.deals. If the QR won't scan, the cashier can simply type that code in instead. So even if scanning is being finicky, the redemption code on the voucher is all they need.
If you're showing the voucher in your live Wallet on a phone, there's also a "Redeem as Customer" button as a last resort for an unexpired voucher. The cashier enters their initials to authorize it, and for an expired voucher the app asks them to choose between face value and full value. (This button only appears in the live Wallet, not on a printed voucher — with paper, the cashier uses the redemption code as described above.)
Why does the cashier enter their initials when redeeming?
The initials are a quick accountability record — they note which staff member authorized the redemption. It's part of keeping a clear history of how each voucher was used, and it doesn't change anything about the discount you receive.
The Wallet won't open or I can't see my vouchers — what should I do?
Most Wallet hiccups are tied to being signed in correctly. Try signing out and signing back in using the email or Shop account you used to make your purchase, then reopen the Wallet. If you have several accounts, make sure you're signed in with the one tied to the order. You can also use the refresh control inside the Wallet to reload your vouchers. If problems persist, contact AvidDeals support.
I have an older voucher PDF from email — is it still valid?
Yes. If you still have a voucher PDF that was emailed to you under our previous system, the voucher itself remains valid. However, those older PDFs may describe a redemption process we no longer use. To avoid any confusion at checkout, we recommend pulling the same voucher up from your AvidDeals Wallet and showing that to the cashier instead.
