AvidVendors Merchant Frequently Asked Questions

AvidVendors is the official merchant portal for AvidDeals Partners. Click any question below to reveal its answer.

A guided tutorial: our colleague Coren walks you through navigating and using the AvidVendors app to manage AvidDeals discounts for your business.
How do I validate and redeem an AvidDeals voucher?

Use the AvidVendors merchant portal at vendor.avid.deals. After signing in, you'll land on the validator: tap "Scan QR code" to scan the code the customer shows you (on their phone or on a printed voucher), or type the voucher code in by hand. AvidVendors checks the voucher and, once you confirm, records the redemption and applies the discount to the customer's transaction.

AvidVendors runs in any modern web browser — on a phone, tablet, or computer at the register. There's nothing to install.

How do I sign in? Why isn't there a password?

AvidVendors signs you in with a one-time passcode (OTP) emailed to your address — there's no password to remember or share. Enter your email, complete the quick verification, and we'll email you a code to type in. Codes amplify account security by relying on ownership of your email rather than a password that's easy to leak or pass around a team.

For everyone's protection, sign-in locks for about 30 minutes after several failed attempts. If you get stuck, reach out to support (see below).

How do I get an AvidVendors account?

Accounts are invite-only. Your AvidDeals account manager, or a manager on your own team, invites staff by email. When you're invited, you'll receive an email to get started — just sign in with that address using a one-time passcode.

If you're an authorized representative who simply needs to honor a voucher a customer has presented right now and don't have an account yet, you can use Rapid Access from the sign-in page (see the next question).

What is "Rapid Access" / continuing as a guest?

Rapid Access lets an authorized merchant representative validate and redeem a presented voucher without a full account, as a temporary guest. Because you're not signed in to an account, you'll enter your initials or a nickname with each redemption so there's a record of who applied it.

Redemptions you make during Rapid Access can be linked back to your AvidDeals account later — after you redeem, the app offers to connect them once you sign in. Use Rapid Access only if you're authorized to honor AvidDeals vouchers on behalf of a partner merchant.

How do I redeem a voucher that has expired?

Expired vouchers are still worth at least their face value (the amount the customer originally paid). When you validate an expired voucher, AvidVendors gives you a choice:

  • Redeem for face value — honor the amount the customer paid.
  • Redeem for full value — at your discretion, honor the deal's full original value.

Either way, the voucher is marked redeemed once you confirm. How long expired vouchers remain redeemable for face value is governed by your state's gift-certificate laws (for example, five years in Pennsylvania).

Can a voucher be redeemed more than once?

No. Each voucher is single-use. Once it's been redeemed, AvidVendors will show it as already redeemed if it's scanned again, so it can't be applied twice. If you scan a voucher that's already been used, you'll see a clear "already redeemed" status rather than a second discount.

What are the different access levels (roles)?

AvidVendors uses access levels so leadership can control what each team member can do:

  • Partner — full admin for your business. Can manage Store-level accounts and everything a Store can do.
  • Store — limited admin. Can manage cashiers and view that location's redemption history, plus everything a Cashier can do.
  • Cashier — the basic level. Can validate and redeem vouchers and view their own redemptions.

A higher access level is required to assign or change roles, and changes apply across all of a user's vendor affiliations. (AvidDeals staff hold an internal Admin level for support.)

How do I invite and manage my team?

If you're a Partner or Store-level user, open the Staff screen and add a team member by their email address. If they're not already registered, they'll get an invitation email. From the same screen you can adjust someone's access level or remove them from your team.

Removing a user from your team takes away their access to your business; if they aren't tied to any other vendor, their account is deactivated.

Where can I see redemptions and sales reports?

Signed-in management accounts (Partner and Store) see a dashboard with charts of purchases and redemptions for the selected location, and a Redemption History view of every redemption at that location. Cashier accounts can see their own redemption history.

I help run more than one location or business — can I switch between them?

Yes. If your account is affiliated with more than one vendor or location, use the vendor dropdown at the top of the screen to switch which one you're viewing. Your dashboard and redemption history update to match the selected location.

AvidVendors says my account is disabled or frozen — how do I regain access?

Accounts are sometimes frozen as a fraud-prevention measure, and they can only be reactivated by AvidDeals staff after the account is revalidated. To get it restored, reach out to support with the account's email address and any helpful details:

  • Email info@avid.deals, or
  • Use the chat widget in the bottom-right corner at avid.deals.
A customer's voucher tells me to use the "Vauchar" app or vauchar.com. What do I do?

Just use AvidVendors as normal. You can scan the QR code or enter the code by hand to validate and redeem both older and newer vouchers — no separate app needed. AvidVendors is the current home for all AvidDeals voucher redemption, so you can disregard any older instructions pointing to a different tool.
